    Influence is the trading name used by our family owned business and during its time Influence has covered the full spectrum of the clothing industry including Importation, Manufacture, Wholesale & Retail.

    Influence has managed to remain ever present in extremely difficult times and has maintained a constant steady growth - its name being synonymous with the most competitive prices possible combined with the ability to provide a quick turnaround service that our competitors can only admire.

    Influence is a product & design led company and has established the very best relationships with its customers buying teams and the personal touch has always been of prime importance.

    The Influence product development team consists of Design, Fabric sourcing & development, QA and Merchandising teams with a wealth of experience and we are continually reviewing and creating new ranges.

    Numerous manufacturing bases have been established not only in the UK, but overseas including Turkey, China, Pakistan and Bangladesh.

    A large percentage of our products are produced in our own family owned factory in India which again gives us the edge over many other companies.

    In summary, Influence has learnt to marry design with product skills in order to provide an excellent design and manufacturing service on all ladieswear product, together with menswear and childrenswear product as well.

    Naturally, Quality Assurance plays a key role in the success of Influence and for this reason Influence has invested in Quality people.

  • Our design team

    The Influence design department consists of a strong team of trend led designers with both the skills and previous work experience needed to work in their specific product area, whether it be print, embellishments, wovens, jersey or knitwear.... Influence are leaders in both Menswear and Ladieswear.

    The team work closely together to ensure key trends are achieved within their department and create high fashion styles which sit well within each of their seasons stories. We work on the principle of holding strong relationships with our buyers and each of our accounts has a designer dedicated to their specialised product area.

    We are committed to ensuring our suppliers meet our ethical sourcing standards.

    1. Employment must be freely chosen.

    1.1 There is no forced, bonded or involuntary prison labour.

    1.2 Workers are not required to lodge “deposits” or their identity papers.

    2. Working conditions are safe and hygienic.

    2.1 A safe and hygienic working environment shall be provided, bearing inmind prevailing knowledge of the industry and of any specific hazards. Adequate steps shall be taken to prevent acidents and injury to health arising out of, associated with, or occurring in the course of the work, by minimising, so far as is reasonably practical, the causes of hazards inherent in the working environment.

    2.2 Workers must receive at least the minimum level of health and safety training as per legislation of the country in which the products are being manufactured or processed.

    2.3 Access to clean toilet facilities and to potable water and clean facilities for food storage shall be provided.

    2.4 Accommodation, where provided, shall be clean, safe and meet the basic needs of the workers.

    3. Child labour must not be used.

    3.1 There shall be no usage of child labour.

    3.2 These policies and procedures shall conform to the provision of the relevant ILO (International Labour Organisation) standards.

    4. Living wages are paid.

    4.1 Wages and benefits paid for a standard working week meet, at least the minimum, national legal standards.

    4.2 All workers shall be provided with written and understandable information about their emplyoment conditions in respect of wages before they enter employment and about details of their wages for the pay period concerned each time they are paid.

    4.3 Deductions from wages as a disciplinary measure shall not be permitted nor shall any deductions from wages not provided for by national law be permitted without the expressed permission of the worker concerned.

    5. Working hours are not excessive.

    5.1 Working hours shall comply with local and national laws.

    5.2 In any event, workers shall be provided with at least one day off every 7 day period on average. Overtime shall be voluntary.

    6. No discrimination practised.

    6.1 There is to be no discrimination in hiring, compensation, access to training, promotion, termination or retirement based on race, caste, national origin, age, disability, gender, maritul status, sexual orientation, union membership or political affiliation.

    7. No harsh or inhumane treatment is allowed.

    7.1 Physical abouse or discipline, the threat of physical abuse, sexual or other harassment and verbal abuse or other forms of intimidation shall be prohibited.

    8. Management actions.

    8.1 Senior managementof suppliers make sure:

    All their suppliers and subcontractors understand and are complying with our ethical standards.

    They regularly review and audit their own processes and maintain records of these reviews.

    9. Commitment to meet ethical standards.

    9.1 All suppliers must meet our ethical standards, which must be communicated to all employees.

    9.2 Failure to meet the Influence ethical standards may result in the ending of the business relationship and the cancellation of all outstanding and future orders, without costs or damages being paid by Influence.
